Villa Steiner is a space of learning and encounter. As an education hub, it offers and hosts a variety of programmes — from summer courses and weekend seminars to curated partner events — all rooted in shared values and a spirit of thoughtful engagement.

The Villa Steiner Academy is a place for reflection, encounter, and personal deepening. Its programs combine intellectual stimulation with personal growth in an atmosphere that fosters focus, dialogue, and shared inquiry.

We believe this is vital in a time marked by social fragmentation, technological disruption, and growing uncertainty about the values that have long guided open and democratic societies.

At the heart of our vision is an understanding of education that takes values seriously, engages meaningfully with questions of purpose, and embraces openness to transcendence as part of what it means to be human. We are convinced that the Christian tradition offers insights that remain deeply relevant to the great questions of our time.

There is an image that speaks to us: flowers placed in water will bloom, but once removed, they may appear intact for a while—until they begin to wither. The same is true of values like freedom and equality. Detached from their spiritual roots, they may endure briefly, but they lose their strength.

Our work is an invitation to return to the sources that continue to sustain human dignity, democratic life, and the social cohesion on which our societies depend.

Behind every seminar, every shared meal, and every quiet moment in the garden is a team that believes in what Villa Steiner stands for – and helps bring it to life.

Many volunteers and friends also contribute to the life of the house.
